Why should I purchase a Little Fae play mat?
Good question! We know how difficult it is to find the right product for you and your little one, so we have carefully designed our Little Fae play mat to suit your family and home. Our designs are stylish to compliment your home, so subtle that you may think it is a rug! Our play mats are multifunctional and practical; all you need to do is roll your play mat out and volia; then roll it back up to store away. They are lightweight, which makes them easy to travel with. Reversible designs give you so much more choice because why should you have to compromise? The polyurethane foam used in our play mats is much softer than other materials such a PVC and is certified as non toxic; perfect for hard flooring too. It get even better because the little squares on the surface are designed to increase the friction and can help your little one stand up steadily; it has good skid resistance and abrasion resistance. How do I look after my Little Fae play mat?
What materials are used in your play mats and are they safe?
Your baby's safety comes first and we take this very seriously here at Little Fae. With this in mind, we wanted to create our own play mat using high quality material that are non-toxic as well as being eco friendly. Compared with other material like EVA, EPE and PVC, the PU (Polyurethane) foam material that is used in our play mat is softer and non-toxic. Our play mats are easy to wipe clean, so you can let your little one play without worrying about mess. It is not just what we say because we have earned the privilege of a CE mark (High European Toy Standard) and UKCA mark (High British Toy Standards) on our play mats.
How do I reduce creasing/curling?
We recommend you unroll your play mat out in the reverse direction that it was rolled. This will encourage the play mat to flatten quicker. You may need to give it a little step on or tightly roll in the opposite direction. The material used in the foam of our play mats is used in memory foam, so you need to guide it to go in the direction you want. This is why it may have curling after being rolled up. If you still have a curl to the playmat, then tightly roll your playmat up with the colour that is showing curling on the outside and strap it up with the velcro straps. Leave it 24-48 hours then unroll it and your playmat should be nice and flat. One side may appear flatter than the other side because your playmat has been rolled up in a certain way for a long period of time.
Air bubble around the edges?
Some of our Playmats may have tiny air bubbles around the edges from the manufacturing process. This happens when the edges are pressed but is normal and nothing to worry about. They have been tested to the highest standards.
My playmat is slightly discoloured, is this normal?
Yes this is normal and this is because our playmats are made from non toxic materials and free from chemical stabilisers / plasticisers (free from bleach too). Over time both discolouration and fading may occur to both the edges and surfaces (particularly on our lighter coloured playmats). We recommend rolling your playmat up when it is not in use and avoiding direct sunlight. The timeframe for this natural process depends on how your playmat is used and cared for. For example if you leave your playmat out most of the time then it will happen quicker.
My card details won't go through. What shall I do?
Please check with your card issuer/bank to make sure you haven't been charged. If you are still having issues then send an email to info@littlefae.co.uk
Is it okay for my pet to be on my play mat?
Yes of course! Just be super careful with your furry friends claws and teeth to prevent tearing or other damage. Your play mat is easy to wipe clean in case you get any muddy paws on it.
